Thank you to all our volunteers and churches who donated time and food for our 10th Annual Free Thanksgiving Community Dinner.  We served around 200 dinners (in house and carryout dinners).

Blessing Box Collection Drive Held on MLK Jr Day of Service in January 2022

P.U.N.C.H. Davenport (People Uniting Neighbors and Churches) we run a program called Blessing Box out of Lincoln Resource Center giving those in need personal care, hygiene, and cleaning supplies for free every week. In January we join with KWQC to do a Donation Drive to collect items used with the Blessing Box Program.

Distribution of items is every Saturday Morning from 8 am to 9 am at JB Young Oppportunity Center on Harrison and Locust.

First Baptist Garden has squash, tomatoes, onions, herbs, potatoes soon

Community Gardens at First Baptist Church, First Presbyterian and Third Missionary Baptist

Community Gardens are available to plant your own vegetables to harvest.  Gardens available to pick vegetables for free that we have grown.  There are now handicap accessible raised beds that those who can't bend over can plant in and pick vegetables from.  Stop by and visit our gardens.
